I can say I have spent nights in worse accommodation but not many. I'm glad we bought our own bedding because there is no way I would pay the surcharge for bedding provided by the management.

Had a nice stay and cooked out most nights - will remember the huge lake when we get back to the States

Turned the hot water on and discovered a new definition for hot: tepid.

We stayed there years ago and it was beautiful, present owners should be ashamed of how they have let it deteriorate. Also dishonest as we left but they wouldnt

Cozy and friendly site with a quiet and peaceful atmosphere, set on the shores of Queens Lake.

It all started when we arrived a little after 5:00 pm on a Friday night. The office was closed and when a staff member finally responded and let me into the office it turned out they did not have my booking (although I had an email confirming our booking from two weeks prior).

At least there was a TV... but it didn't work.

We were finally given a cabin and found our way there. One of the staff had opened it up for us and given it a cursory going over. This made little difference to the state of the cabin. It was filthy. There was mould on the fridge, dirt and dead cockroaches over the floor, cupboard doors smeared with dirt and dirt on the beds. The heater (an old electric bar radiator) did not work. I was glad I didn't have to turn the fan on as the blades were coated in dirt and grease. The curtain screen between the main bedroom and living room was completely missing as too one of the wardrobe doors (found it under the bed).

The park has only recently been renamed, but I prefer it's former Christmas Cove name - sounds more like a holiday destination than "Queens Lake Caravan Park"

Sat on one of the dining chairs and almost fell off... the seat was unscrewed from the frame.

Great location and access to queens lake. Large park and protected by forest nearby. Camp sites available or modern cabin. Close to supermarket and walking trail.

Of the two fire alarms in the cabin, one was missing completely. You could see where it was supposed to be from the exposed wiring in the ceiling. There was an uncovered fuse box on the wall. Thankfully it was above a wardrobe so that the chance of electrocution from the exposed wiring was minimised.

Commonly known as criminal cove, full of low life druggies and filthy amenities,

There were two (unmatched) coffee cups in the cabin and the remaining crockery and cutlery wasn't much better. We had to wash it before use.
